I'm fairly new to the world of Linux and have been somewhat hesitant to jump on board the technology wagon with the OS. I have found it too be difficult to work with from an administrative standpoint, namely installation issues and driver maintenance. That being said, I see the potential for this open source product. And since my company has been kind enough to put me through a Linux+ boot camp, I plan on attaining the Linux+ certification. So, here you will find my notes from the bootcamp.
I am working with both the SUSE and Ubuntu distributions of Linux for the purposes of these notes. Inside you will find references to both Distros. I will switch back and forth between them in the following pages. You will see one of the following icons in each instance. I will be referencing that distribution until you see the icon change.
When you see this lovely lizard I am referring to SUSE Linux which is Novell's implementation of Linux | This icon represents Ubuntu which is a more "tweaked" version of Debian Linux |
Without further ado, let's jump into the deep end! No floaties required...
